What is rock bolt
A rock bolt is a long anchor bolt used in mining that is used to stabilize rock in underground structures such as mines and tunnels. Usually composed of steel, rock bolts are inserted into drilled holes to offer structural support. Rock bolts increase the overall safety and stability of the subterranean environment by stabilizing loose rock and preventing rockfalls by fastening rock layers together.
Types of rock bolt
Numerous primary varieties of rock bolts are employed in civil engineering, mining, and tunneling. Every variety is made to meet various support needs and geological circumstances.
Here are several types of rock bolt we supply:
1.Split set bolt/Friction rock bolt
Split set bolt is a high-strength “C” shaped steel rock bolt with two parts, a tube and a matching domed bearing plate.
One end of the tube is tapered for easy insertion into a drill hole and the other has a welded ring flange to hold the bearing plate.
With the bearing plate in place, the tube is driven into a slightly smaller hole, using the same standard percussion drill that made the hole. As the tube of the rock bolt slides into place, the full length of the slot narrows, causing radial pressure to be exerted against the rock over its full contact length.
The Bolt generally use high-strength steel.Such as Q235, Q345 and other steel as the main material.

2.Thread rebar rock bolt
Threaded bar Bolt is composed of screw thread steel bar, high strength plate, nut, washer, and other accessories.
It is a corrugated steel bar for concrete reinforcement, with one end threaded to a length of 150-200 mm to install a nut with an anchoring plate, and the other end cut at a 45-degree angle for insertion into the hole. It consists of a main body with a series of longitudinal grooves (corrugations) that increase its anchoring capacity in the surrounding rock.
The 45-degree cut inner end facilitates its insertion, and the threaded outer end tensions the bolt and the plate using a nut, which can be hexagonal or round.
They can be mounted with resin cartridges or cement mortar.
